Benchmark tests and industry insiders have already indicated that Qualcomm is developing a new version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 . Now well-known user Yogesh Brar has published information about the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and 7 Plus Gen 3 chips that are expected to be launched in March.

Yogesh Brar states that the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 should be a more basic version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 identified by the model SM8635 with a Cortex-X4 core at 3.0 GHz, 4 Cortex A720 cores at 2.6 GHz and 3 Cortex A520 cores 1.8 GHz for power saving.

For comparison purposes, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has the following configuration:

  • 1 3.3 GHz Cortex-X4
  • 3 3.2 GHz Cortex-A720
  • 2 3GHz Cortex A-720
  • 2 2.3 GHz Cortex A-520

3.0 GHz Cortex X4
2.6 GHz Cortex A720
1.8 GHz Cortex A520

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3
(SM7675)

2.8 GHz Cortex X4
2.4 GHz Cortex A720
1.8 GHz Cortex A520

1 + 4 + 3 core config, Launching in March

The Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 should follow the same design, but with reduced speed cores:

  • 1 2.8 GHz Cortex-X4
  • 4 2.4GHz Cortex-A720
  • 3 1.8GHz Cortex-A520

In this way, the Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 should be an intermediary with a top-of-the-line architecture that is still below the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, the latter of which should be positioned between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Gen 3.

There is no set release date yet, but if the tipster is correct, Qualcomm should announce a presentation or event soon.
