With One UI 6.0 now in its fourth beta, Samsung turns its attention to privacy. Introducing Screen Hide through Battery Guardian, a Good Lock module, users can shield their screen, akin to a ‘digital curtain,’ safeguarding chats from prying eyes.
Good Lock, an app to augment One UI, offers modules created in-house, like Battery Guardian, focusing on power conservation. Battery Guardian’s latest version incorporates Screen Hide, actually obscuring part of the display to save power and bolster user privacy.
This ingenious feature secures conversations from curious gazes, ideal for public spaces like buses and subways. Furthermore, it activates a low-power mode, extending the smartphone’s battery life. You can selectively deactivate parts of the screen or keep audio playback uninterrupted.
Activating Screen Hide is quick and easy from Android’s notification centre, enhancing convenience. To add this shortcut, simply install Good Lock via Galaxy Store, download the Battery Guardian module, and customize it. Note that this innovation is exclusive to One UI 6.0.
To disable Screen Hide, either press the power button or double-tap the screen, restoring full functionality.
