Google has posted a video on its official YouTube channel comparing the design and construction of the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro smartphones, which are expected to be launched at an event on October 4th. The expectation is that both phones will bring advancements in internal hardware despite their conservative appearance.
The video, titled ‘Sneak Peek at Google Pixel 8 & Pixel 8 Pro,’ showcases the entire construction of the devices, confirming a dual-camera setup on the back of the more affordable model, while the more expensive version will feature three sensors arranged in a rectangular module on the rear of the phone, accompanied by an LED flash.
It is anticipated that the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro will come equipped with the Tensor G3 platform and Mali-G715 GPU, a combination that scored 1,218 in single-core and 3,175 points in multicore on Geekbench. This chipset is expected to bring improvements in maximum frequency and introduce new features related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), a field that has seen significant growth in recent years.
In addition to the smartphones, the big tech company has also confirmed the design of the Pixel Watch 2, which is expected to retain the same external characteristics as its predecessor but with improvements in technical specifications. On its website, Google mentions that the wearable will offer ‘more personalized assistance, security features, and health insights.’
