Some time ago, we reviewed the Logitech MX Keys Mini keyboard, but now the manufacturer has sent us the full version with a numeric keypad – the MX Keys S.

What is the Logitech MX Keys series? I must say that it is associated with Logitech’s highest-quality computer mice and keyboards. It is a series designed for creative industry professionals, as it offers extensive functionality options and the ability to customize button actions according to your preferences. These devices are suitable for both Mac and Windows users.
Daily Use of Logitech MX Keys S
Similar to the mini model, the keyboard keys are made of matte material and have slightly concave surfaces, making typing more comfortable and enjoyable. The keyboard is also made of recycled plastic, which subconsciously may provide a pleasant feel, supporting companies that follow such practices.
It’s worth highlighting the keyboard’s excellent stability on the desktop. Many have encountered lightweight plastic keyboards that tend to slide around with even slight movements. With the MX Keys S, this was not a problem. It’s also worth mentioning that the keyboard is relatively quiet, so you won’t have to endure complaints from nearby people about noisy typing.

The keyboard may not be the most suitable for gaming enthusiasts or those who rely heavily on arrow keys, but it’s ideal for those who perform everyday office tasks.
Design and Features of MX Keys S
Logitech sent us keyboards in white and grey tones, which look quite elegant on the desk compared to the previously reviewed keyboards in black or pink tones.
The MX Keys S is equipped with various useful and interesting shortcut keys. In the standard F key row, the first two keys are dedicated to adjusting screen brightness. The F3 and F4 keys help conveniently adjust the keyboard’s backlight – if used at full brightness, the keyboard will operate for an average of 10 days on a single charge, but if you turn off the backlight entirely, it can last up to 5 months. The F5 key can be used to activate a function that allows you to dictate audio, which is then converted into text (of course, if such a function is available on the device to which the keyboard is connected). Additionally, in this row, you’ll find keys that allow you to mute the microphone, open emojis, pause or switch music, as well as adjust the volume up or down.
Not to forget the features found in the numeric keypad. The most attention-grabbing are the keys that enable taking screenshots, opening the calculator, or logging out of the user profile. People who read longer articles online may also appreciate the “page up,” “page down,” “home,” and “end” keys, which allow you to navigate up and down websites or open specific links at the top or bottom of a page.

As usual, the keyboard can be paired with the Options+ app. It provides information about the keyboard itself, the ability to change and customize keyboard backlighting, and the option to customize the functionality of certain keys according to your preferences. The keyboard can adjust key backlight brightness according to room lighting conditions, and you can set a time after which the keyboard’s light will automatically turn off when not in use.
