Lenovo unveiled the Legion 9i on Sep 1st this year, a gaming notebook equipped with an integrated liquid cooling system to keep the machine’s temperature down during gaming sessions. The laptop is one of the brand’s highlights at IFA 2023, taking place in Berlin, Germany.

A first of its kind in a 16-inch gaming laptop, the Legion Coldfront system, developed in collaboration with Cooler Master, springs into action when the graphics card’s temperature reaches 84°C. In addition to this mechanism, which benefits from artificial intelligence, there are three fans to dissipate the heat.

Another standout feature is the Mini-LED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a refresh rate of 165 Hz, a resolution of 3.2K (3200 x 2000 pixels), and a response time of 3ms. The panel supports Dolby Vision, VESA DisplayHDR 100, and Nvidia G-Sync technologies, holds TÜV Rheinland certification, and boasts a brightness level of 1,200 nits.

The Lenovo Legion 9i is powered by the 13th-generation Intel Core i9-13980HX processor, which can be paired with a GPU up to the GeForce RTX 4090 and either 32 GB or 64 GB of RAM. Internal storage options go up to 2 TB, utilizing PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD.

Legion 9i Battery and Connectivity

To extend battery life, the manufacturer has equipped the laptop with a 99.99 WHr battery that supports 330W fast charging using the included Slim adapter. Charging via USB-C is capped at 140W. According to the company, a full charge takes 80 minutes.
