The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the device that delivers the highest download speed among all its rivals in the United States. At least, that’s what a report by Ookla suggests, which compared the average numbers of Apple’s flagship with other devices.
This survey was conducted during the third quarter of this year and according to it, Apple’s most advanced model had an average download speed of 251.37 Mbps, while the upload speed was 16.68 Mbps. Next, we have the iPhone 15 Pro, with 227.41 Mbps download speed and 14.59 Mbps upload speed.

As seen in the image, the next model in line is Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra, which achieved an average download speed of 159.15 Mbps and 13.81 Mbps upload speed. The next model is the largest foldable from the South Korean company, the Galaxy Z Fold 4.

In this case, it managed an average download speed of 146.76 Mbps and 11.20 Mbps upload speed. To round out the top 5, we have the Google Pixel 7 Pro, with an average download speed of 139.47 Mbps and 11.19 Mbps upload speed. Therefore, there is a significant advantage between Apple models and other competitors.
The report also identified the local carrier with the best speeds. In this case, T-Mobile took the lead. Ookla explained it as follows:
“Looking only at tests conducted on a 5G connection, T-Mobile had the fastest average 5G download speed in the US, 221.57 Mbps during the third quarter of 2023, in line with its performance during the second quarter of 2023. Verizon Wireless remained in second place and saw a significant increase to 153.79 Mbps in the third quarter of 2023, up from 133.50 Mbps in the second quarter of 2023. AT&T remained in third, but also showed an increase, recording 101.55 Mbps in the third quarter of 2023, up from 86.01 Mbps in the second quarter of 2023.”
