GTA 6: Graphical Improvements to Surpass Those Seen in Red Dead Redemption 2

We all know that Rockstar is preparing some grandiose graphical enhancements for Grand Theft Auto 6 a.k.a GTA 6, but according to recent rumours, the title will bring a visual leap superior to what was seen at the release of Red Dead Redemption 2, which, in comparison to Grand Theft Auto V, became a benchmark in the video game industry.

According to the French publication Rockstar Mag, the new version of the RAGE engine that will power the new GTA franchise title will introduce significant improvements in physics, the passage of time, rendering quality, and artificial intelligence. Apparently, Rockstar Games is not only aiming to do something better than any other game currently available but also something that has never been done before.

So far, Rockstar has not made an official announcement about GTA 6, limiting itself to revealing that they are working on a new game in the franchise. Meanwhile, fans have to make do with hundreds of rumours, leaks, and predictions about the game.

According to the new rumour, the water physics in Grand Theft Auto 6, in particular, will be unlike anything we’ve seen before. Rockstar Games’ RAGE Technology Group has designed a revolutionary system that will calculate water physics in real-time, suggesting that the ocean will play a significant role in the game world.

GTA 6 will also feature improvements in vehicle physics. With a significant increase in the number of vehicle polygons, the game will have more precise deformations and more realistic accidents, with any damage affecting vehicle handling. The game will also be the first in the franchise to feature physically simulated lighting to better represent Vice City’s nightlife. The weather system will also see considerable improvements compared to the previous game and will have a significant impact on gameplay.

While this new information seems quite credible, we must consider that they are still just rumours, and it’s best to wait for official announcements. Since the game is set to be released no later than March 2025, we won’t have to wait long to find out how much of today’s report is true.
