Activision has confirmed the first details of Season 2 for Modern Warfare III and Warzone. According to an official statement, players will face the horde on February 7th.
Alongside the announcement, promotional artwork for the new season highlights protagonist Rick Grimes, who is set to arrive as a playable operator.

Weeks ago, Call of Duty dataminer @ModenasHD had mentioned finding evidence that Activision was preparing a crossover with The Walking Dead franchise. According to lines of code, Rick Grimes and Michonne would arrive as operators. The teaser posted on the social network X (formerly Twitter) corroborates this information, featuring the protagonists.

Possibly, the new crossover event will provide details about the upcoming spin-off series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. It is scheduled to premiere on February 25, 2024, and will take place after the conclusion of the original series.

Modern Warfare III and Warzone Season 1 Reloaded
Season 1 Reloaded of Modern Warfare III and Warzone was launched in mid-January, introducing a new multiplayer map set in Rio de Janeiro, along with new modes and some changes.
Over the weekend, excerpts from the campaign and multiplayer of an unannounced Call of Duty game were leaked. The project, codenamed NX1, would have had science fiction elements and was developed by Neversoft but was ultimately scrapped with the studio’s closure in 2014.
