ASUS has refuted a preceding report regarding the potential shutdown of the Zenfone division. The company issued a press release denying the Taiwanese media outlet claiming Zenfone 10 will be reportedly the last flagship product in the Zenfone Series.

In a Press Release ASUS stated, “We would like to address the rumor that ASUS Zenfone 10 will be the last generation of the series and the ASUS Zenfone product line will be shut down. This is not true.” ASUS further added, “We will continue our two main phone business product lines, the ROG Phone and the Zenfone. ASUS has a strong commitment to our smartphone business and customers. Please reference our Q2 earnings call for more information. Please stay tuned for our 2024 product lineups. “

According to the ASUS Q2 earnings report, 2% of the total revenue in the quarter was constituted by its phones, compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year which showed an increase from less than 1%. The smartphone business of ASUS maintains the smallest share in sales compared to the overall production line of PCs, components, and accessories. However, it appears that ASUS intends to maximize the growth of the smartphone business.

The report from a few days ago implied that ASUS was undergoing internal restructuring and would eliminate the Zenfone department as a consequence. Employees in the division were anticipated to be integrated into the ROG phone team. However, ASUS’s confirmation clarifies that its compact flagship line will continue.
