This week, Sony and the folks at Insomniac dropped a new video for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which is coming out just for the PS5 in October. In the video, we saw a bit of the game’s story and how it looks way better than the last one on the new console.

Before a reputable gaming expert called The Snitch reported that the game would have two graphic settings, Quality and Performance, but only Quality would have ray tracing. But now, Mike Fitzgerald from Insomniac Games has given us more info.

According to him, the game will let you pick how it looks. You can choose between three different ways it moves on the screen: slow, kind of fast, or really fast. You get to decide, like picking what movie quality you want.

Mike also said something fancy about how the game shows things on the screen, but don’t worry too much about that. The cool part is that the game works with different kinds of screens and TVs, so you’re all set.

Now, when you compare this game to others like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Spider-Man Remastered on the PlayStation 5, it’s got some cool choices. There’s one that makes everything look super clear and shiny, and another that makes the game super smooth to play. But what’s special about Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is that it has ray tracing in all the choices, so it’s gonna look awesome no matter what you pick.

We’ll have to wait to see more of the game, but it looks like Insomniac really knows how to make the PS5 work its best.
