Apple has announced that its Worldwide Developers Conference will run from June 9 through June 13 this year. The event will be free and online for all developers, with an in-person gathering for students and guests at Apple Park on the first day. Apple will unveil the next versions of iOS 19, iPadOS 19, watchOS 12, macOS 16, and visionOS 3 during the keynote. Developers can also join new online group sessions to dive deeper into features.

New Operating Systems for All Devices

Apple will preview iOS 19 for iPhone and iPod touch with new icons, menus, and system buttons that match the look of VisionOS. iPadOS 19 will bring the same fresh design and simpler navigation to iPad users. macOS 16 will follow the new style and also add features that make the Mac and iPad work more closely together. watchOS 12 will add new health tools like a virtual coach and blood pressure alerts. visionOS 3 will arrive with more apps and deeper integration with Apple’s devices.

Smarter AI Features with Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence will gain an AI-powered battery manager that learns how you use your iPhone and saves power when you need it most. The system will also offer a health assistant that can answer questions about activity and vitals. Apple first showed off these smart features last year, but delayed many of them because they were not ready. The new tools will combine on-device language models with privacy by design so data never leaves your device without permission.

Design Refresh Inspired by Vision Pro

The design overhaul will make all of Apple’s software feel more like VisionOS on Apple Vision Pro. Icons will be more consistent, and menus will float to give more space on the screen. Apps and windows will use rounded corners and clear controls so you can find what you need quickly. These changes will roll out across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro to create a unified look.

New Tools for Developers

Apple has been testing an AI-powered coding assistant built with Anthropic models. This tool may help developers write code faster and find bugs before they ship apps. Apple will likely share a new software development kit so apps can tap into its on-device language models. These models run entirely on Apple silicon chips to keep your data private.

Event Format and Dates

The keynote will stream on Monday, June 9, at 10 a m Pacific Time from Apple Park. Online sessions, labs, and office hours will continue through June 13. Developers can watch on the Apple Developer app website and the YouTube channel. Students who register in advance can attend the in-person event at Apple Park for hands-on labs and networking. Apple’s WWDC 2025 promises a big year for software design, AI-powered tools, and tighter integration across all devices. The week will showcase how Apple is building the next chapter for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Watch, and Vision Pro.
