Apple Is Developing A More Powerful Vision Pro To Include One Of The iPhone’s Best Features

The Apple Vision Pro could see a major boost in performance in the coming months by adding one of the most important features in the company’s history: Apple Intelligence. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst known for sharing information about Apple products, the Cupertino company is already working on a new version of its mixed reality viewer. This new version will have a more advanced processor to support AI functions.

Specifically, Kuo predicts that Apple will use an M5 chip in the next generation of Vision Pro. This upgrade would offer a significant performance increase compared to the M2 chip in the current model, which is already quite powerful.

With the inclusion of an M5 chip, Apple could add artificial intelligence functions to the Vision Pro through Apple Intelligence, its suite of AI tools for the iPad, iPhone, and Mac. In fact, Kuo states that this new processor will provide users with the “best Apple Intelligence experience.”

Interestingly, Apple has not announced any plans to include such advanced features in the Vision Pro, even though M2-based Macs do support Apple Intelligence.

While it’s not clear, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some features available on Apple’s other devices, like the ability to rewrite emails, included in the company’s mixed reality glasses. In the future, we might also see more advanced AI features than those on the iPhone. After all, the Vision Pro is a much more powerful device than a mobile phone, with more capabilities, sensors, components, and software functions that can be enhanced by artificial intelligence.

So, when will these Vision Pros with the M5 chip and AI features arrive? Kuo says the company plans to start production of this model in the second half of 2025, so it wouldn’t be unusual to see a launch at the end of that year or early 2026. Remember, Apple is also working on a cheaper model with fewer features that could debut in the coming months.
