Xiaomi is about to update one of the most affordable and interesting flagship products in its lineup: the Redmi Buds 6. These headphones have just been announced with many new features, a stunning design, and an amazing quality-to-price ratio. Even before their release, they have already become one of the best options for upgrading your true wireless earbuds.

It’s important not to confuse them with the Redmi Buds 6 Active, which is an earlier, cheaper model with lower performance that the company launched a few weeks ago. Today, we will focus on the kings of the series—those that don’t have any extra names like Lite, Active, or Play—and set the standard for quality, design, and audio in this range.

The Redmi Buds 6 are no longer a secret, although their sale date and price will be announced next week during the presentation of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14. Until then, you can learn about their features and design, which the brand has already confirmed.

If upgrading your headphones feels urgent, you can consider the latest version, the Redmi Buds 5, available on Amazon for just €29.99. Alternatively, you can opt for the Buds 4 Lite for an incredibly low price of €15.99.

This Is What The New Redmi Buds 6 Look Like

In its eagerness to share information, the company has provided a complete list of details and confirmed the official design of the earphones. While the new Redmi Buds 6 follow the style of the previous generation, Xiaomi has refined them with more rounded lines and a more polished aesthetic.

It’s hard not to notice the similarity between the Redmi Buds 6 and the AirPods Pro. Their silicone tips, the shape of the main body, and the rounded end—the ‘stick’—make them an appealing budget alternative for those who find the Apple option attractive but too expensive.

Key Feature of the Redmi Buds 6

Xiaomi has revealed the standout feature of the Redmi Buds 6: 49 decibel active noise cancellation. While this level of noise cancellation may not be the best on the market, it offers impressive ambient noise suppression for this price range, making it one of the top options available.

Improved Battery Life and Features of the Redmi Buds 6

The increase in noise cancellation has not affected the battery life, which now offers up to 42 hours of playback when using the case for recharging. The Redmi Buds 5 promised 40 hours, so this new version seems to provide either a longer battery life or better power optimization.

Additionally, in the poster released by Xiaomi, there is a phrase that reads “Flagship dual unit structure.” This likely refers to the inclusion of dual speakers or drivers to enhance the distinction between bass and treble tones.

If this detail proves true, the Redmi Buds 6 could become the leaders in the mid-range market. Dual speakers typically provide a significant boost in audio quality, which is rare in headphones at this moderate price point.

How Much Do They Cost?

Unfortunately, we can’t answer that right now, as Xiaomi will reveal the pricing next week. Based on the company’s history and the previous generation’s launch price of €40 in Europe, we can expect the Redmi Buds 6 to be priced similarly.

As for when they will be available, that remains uncertain since the presentation will take place in China. However, since this is an audio product, it’s likely that Chinese exporters will begin selling them soon, potentially making them available on AliExpress in the coming weeks.
