Announced in June, the Vessel of Hatred expansion for Diablo 4 will be available on October 8th. In this new chapter, the sorceress Neyrelle travels to Nahantu, a new region that long-time Diablo fans might recognize as Kurast from Diablo II. Neyrelle’s mission is to find a way to destroy Mephisto. Along with the new story, the expansion will also bring custom waypoints and gear loadouts.
Diablo 4’s New Expansion Brings Spiritborn Class and Custom Features
The upcoming expansion will introduce the Spiritborn class, capable of summoning spirits and casting protective spells to aid themselves and their allies. Nahantu will be a new experience for many Diablo 4 players. The expansion also explores Neyrelle’s struggle as she faces the consequences of her past decisions while seeking to defeat the imprisoned Mephisto once and for all.
Rod Fergusson, Diablo 4’s General Manager, recently confirmed that custom waypoints and loadouts are on their way. Players will soon be able to mark any waypoint as a favorite, allowing direct teleportation to that spot instead of always going to the default town. However, only one favorite location can be active at a time. This feature will be available starting October 8th, with the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
Although Fergusson confirmed that custom loadouts are coming, he didn’t provide an exact release date. He did mention that they will be added shortly after the Vessel of Hatred expansion.
