Lenovo is among the first companies to release a laptop featuring the Snapdragon X Elite. The Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 Snapdragon marks the debut of this new ARM chip in the Thinkpad lineup, which could attract attention in the business world. According to Lenovo, the battery of the new laptop lasts for several days, indicating that the Snapdragon X Elite is more energy-efficient compared to CPUs made by AMD and Intel.

The battery in the new laptop has a capacity of 58 watt hours, which is relatively large. It maintains the well-known 14-inch size with an IPS panel and a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The laptop includes two USB-A ports (3.2 Gen1) and two USB-C ports (USB 4) located on its sides. Additionally, it supports connecting an external display via an HDMI 2.1 port.
The Smallest CPU In the Elite Series
Lenovo chose the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite X1E-78-100 from Qualcomm’s Oryon series as the CPU for its new notebook. This chip operates at 3.4 GHz with twelve ARM cores and is built using a 4-nanometer process. However, it lacks dual-core boost capability, meaning only two cores can reach speeds up to 4.3 GHz, which positively impacts performance. The system also supports LPDDR5x memory. The Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 with Snapdragon comes equipped with 32 GB of soldered RAM and a 1 TB M.2 SSD.
The Lenovo laptop comes pre-installed with Windows 11 Pro in its native ARM64 version. Microsoft has introduced several Copilot+ features tailored for this operating system, enabling some AI computations to be processed directly on the device. The SoC also features an NPU capable of 45 TOPS performance, consistent across all new Snapdragon chips. Additionally, the notebook includes a Wi-Fi 7 WLAN module from Qualcomm.
However, this advanced technology comes at a price. Lenovo lists the Thinkpad T14s Gen 6 with Snapdragon at a starting price of $1900. According to information from the online shop, deliveries are expected within the next three to four weeks.
