Richard Yu confirmed the renaming of the series in a video posted on Huawei’s Weibo profile. The next smartphone release will be named Huawei Pura 70, deviating from the previously anticipated P70 nomenclature. Existing models will retain the “P” branding.

Explanation of “Pura”

The new name, “Pura,” signifies simplicity, purity, and modernity, according to Yu. It reflects Huawei’s commitment to high-end design, integrating technology, fashion, and art into its products.

Today, the HUAWEI P series has been upgraded to HUAWEI Pura, starting over with a new attitude. We always adhere to the design concept of high-end, latest, simplicity and purity, and integrate technology, fashion and art into our products. Create a more unique and modern aesthetic design and explore invisible beauty with bold imagination!

Rumors and Leaks about Huawei Pura 70

There has been substantial speculation surrounding the upcoming Huawei Pura 70 series, with leaks and rumors hinting at several intriguing features. It is rumored that Huawei will introduce four versions of its next flagship: the Huawei Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro, Pura 70 Pro+, and Pura 70 Ultra. Each variant is expected to offer different RAM and storage configurations, with the Ultra model potentially boasting an impressive 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal memory, and there are even murmurs of a model with a staggering 24 GB of RAM.

Additionally, leaked images suggest that the devices may sport a triangular-shaped photographic module, hinting at a potential design overhaul. This module, possibly housing three sensors, aligns with Huawei’s emphasis on purity in design and could represent a significant departure from previous iterations of the P series. While these leaks offer tantalizing insights, Huawei has yet to confirm these details, leaving enthusiasts eagerly awaiting official announcements.

Design and Appearance Speculation

The anticipated design of the Huawei Pura series is said to feature a triangular-shaped photographic module, resembling the shape of a diamond. Leaked images suggest a sleek and modern aesthetic, aligning with Huawei’s vision for the series.
