Additionally, the following two event bonuses await you:
- Increased chance of receiving XL Candies while walking with your Buddy Pokémon.
- Two guaranteed XL Candies for evolving Pokémon.

Give your Fluffpuff a New Look!
During the “Carnival of Love” event, you can change your Fluffpuff’s shaggy form into the Heart Cut, as follows:
- Look for Fluffpuff in your Pokémon Box and tap on it to view its summary. Then, tap on the “Change Form” button to open the menu with available cuts.
- Select the desired form cut.
- Changing your Fluffpuff’s form costs 25 Fluffpuff Candies and 10,000 Stardust.
Wild Pokémon
During the event, you might encounter Shiny Choreogel for the first time! Here are the locations based on the world region:
- Choreogel (Flamenco Style): Europe, Middle East, and Africa
- Choreogel (Cheerleading Style): American continent
- Choreogel (Hula Style): African, Asian, Pacific, and Caribbean islands
- Choreogel (Buyo Style): Asia-Pacific region
Depending on where you are in the world, you’ll encounter Flabébé with differently colored flowers:
- Flabébé (Red Flower): Europe, Middle East, and Africa
- Flabébé (Blue Flower): Asia-Pacific region
- Flabébé (Yellow Flower): American continent
With luck, you might even encounter a Flabébé with white and orange flowers, regardless of your location.
The following wild Pokémon will appear more frequently:

Event-related Field Research tasks will be available! By completing these Field Research tasks, you may encounter the following Pokémon:

Collector Challenge & PokéStop Showcases
A Collector Challenge related to the Carnival of Love will take place! Complete the Collector Challenge to receive XP and Stardust and encounter Roserade! During the “Carnival of Love” event, there will be showcases at various PokéStops where you can participate with event Pokémon. In this case, you can compete with your biggest Buddy Pokémon (the Buddy Pokémon must be a Great Buddy or higher to participate in the showcase)!
Paid Timed Research
For $1 (or the equivalent price in your local currency), you can participate in Timed Research during the event. The following rewards await you for completing the Timed Research:
- Stardust, XP, and two Incense
- Five encounters with Pancham with Heart Pattern
The Timed Research is not unlimited. You must have completed the tasks of the Timed Research and claimed the rewards before Thursday, February 15, 2024, at 8 p.m. (local time).

You can purchase tickets and gift them to friends in Pokémon GO with whom you have reached at least the “Great Friends” friendship level.
