Xiaomi is known for regularly setting new standards in the smartphone industry. In the past, for instance, with very large camera sensors or an extremely fast charging function. The Redmi K70 Pro introduces a phone with an incredibly high screen brightness.
Xiaomi Redmi K70 Pro Comes with Extremely Bright Display
Xiaomi will soon unveil two new flagship smartphones, the Redmi K70 and K70 Pro, equipped with a special display. On Weibo, the Chinese company is already drumming up publicity and has revealed initial details. Xiaomi is incorporating an OLED screen in the new smartphones, capable of reaching a brightness of up to 4,000 nits. That would be twice the peak brightness of the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which reaches 2,000 nits. Samsung’s Galaxy S23 Ultra reaches 1,750 nits so far.

This would establish a new benchmark for screen brightness by Xiaomi. It involves a Chinese screen developed in collaboration with TCL Huaxing (Source: Fonearena). Not only is it extremely bright, but it also boasts high efficiency. Interestingly, Xiaomi is surpassing itself here as well. The recently introduced 14 series smartphones feature displays that reach a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. In comparison, the Redmi series is positioned in the upper mid-range in terms of pricing.

K70 Pro Only for China
The unveiling of the Remi K70 and K70 Pro will take place on November 29 in China. Xiaomi exclusively offers the K series there. In the past, K series smartphones have often served as templates for European models. Therefore, it’s quite possible that the K70 Pro might appear in our markets as the Xiaomi 14T Pro. However, it might still take several months before this happens. The Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro haven’t even been introduced in Europe yet.
