Nothing Phone 2 received its first update in just a month, improving many of the camera’s features and several other features. It was reported on Nothing’s X (Twitter) account, sharing that the update is now available for its consumers. For now, this update is only for Phone 2. But, the company did follow up by informing users that an update for Phone 1 is coming as well at the end of August this year.
These updates for Nothing Phone 2 featured improvements not just in the main camera but in the front camera as well. Nothing in the blog post on their website says that it’s constantly working to make customers’ experience smooth and efficient, so expect even more updates that address issues, add new features, or improve already existing ones.
That being said, if you own the Nothing Phone 2, here are all the improvements the phone’s main camera is getting in the latest update:
Photo clarity is enhanced in 50 MP Mode.
When recording videos on the rear camera, contrast and stability are optimized in this update.
Low-light settings have improved photo quality.
Improved the contrast effect when shooting in Portrait Mode.
Portrait Mode: Optimized the clarity of faces.
Faster HDR processing speed.
As far as the front-facing camera goes, the update should bring enhanced photo clarity, improved quality in low-light settings, and faster HDR processing speed.
Nothing Phone 2 Update Features
A fairly large part of the update’s release note is taken by all the new features included. Here is exactly what you’ll get in this update:
Upon reaching its temperature limit, apps will shut down.
When the device is switched off – Refined the out-of-battery visual.
Added different icons for each of the Nothing audio products to volume control.
Google’s July security patch is updated.
Nothing Phone 2 users should also expect an improved performance of some games when played in HDR, improved reliability, and enhanced system stability of network for multiple global carriers.
Overall enhancements to various other parts of the phone are included in the update which includes the haptic feedback strength when typing has been updated, and the feel and quickness of the touch panel under certain conditions have been improved.

Resolved an issue causing ‘double tap to wake’ to be unresponsive at times.
Fixed an issue causing the Bluetooth Quick Settings tile to be unresponsive at times.

Resolved an issue affecting Google Wallet functioning in cloned apps.
