In a new WhatsApp Beta version released this Wednesday, WhatsApp for Android now allows users to pin channels to the top of the Updates page. The novelty was discovered by the folks at WABetaInfo within version 2.24.4.3.

According to the developers, this improvement was highly requested within the feedback page, as users like to have access to the most important channels in their daily lives. See in the screenshot below that it is possible to pin a channel to the top of the page:
For now, it is still not possible to pin more than one channel, but WABetaInfo highlights that this improvement should be released along with a new Updates page.

WhatsApp is also developing other features to make its interface more “user-friendly,” as many currently complain about the “clutter” present on the updates page.
It is worth noting that the functionality is still present in the test version, similar to what happens with the use of AI and also with the security page.
