Five Former Ubisoft Executives Were Arrested in An Investigation Involving Sexual Harassment at The Company

Ubisoft Executives Arrested

Five former Ubisoft executives have been arrested as a result of an investigation involving allegations of sexual harassment at the company. The arrests are part of a 2021 lawsuit against Ubisoft for systemic sexual misconduct brought by French union Solidaires Informatique.

According to the newspaper Libération, three of the five arrests were made on Tuesday (3), while the other two took place today.

One of those detained is director Serge Hascoet, who supervised all of the company’s games before resigning in July 2020, after several accusations were made against him.

In addition to him, his right-hand man, Tommy François, who was vice president of editorial and creative services at Ubisoft, was also arrested. He left the company in August 2020 following allegations of sexual harassment.

Other executives who also resigned or were fired following allegations of misconduct at Ubisoft include Canadian studios managing director Yannis Mallat, global head of human resources Cécile Cornet, chief creative officer Maxime Béland and director of Creation of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Ashraf Ismail.
