Cyberpunk 2077 received the update 2.0 this week, bringing various improvements and new mechanics for those who have already acquired the game. However, many wonder what has changed in Cyberpunk 2077 Update compared to the original version, which received harsh criticism upon release. Fortunately, today we can see the graphic differences in a comparative video.
Changes in Vehicle Mechanics – Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0
The video, published by the YouTube channel GameBest, begins by showcasing differences when using a motorcycle, as it is now possible to shoot while driving. Additionally, vehicles now show visible damage when shot at. Jumping from a moving car now causes damage to V, whereas nothing happened in the original version.
Water Physics and Graphics
Now, regarding water, the 2.0 update has enhanced the physics of swimming and shooting in lakes. The graphics are now more realistic, and various bugs have been removed, although V’s shadow is still displayed incorrectly within the water.

Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0 Altered Reactions to Water Impact
V’s reaction when falling with a car into a lake has also changed. In the original version, the character did nothing and the vehicle suffered no damage. With the 2.0 update, the vehicle breaks and V shatters the driver’s window to escape and not drown.
Improved Animations and NPC Reactions
Animations when climbing stairs have been improved, as in the original version, the character appeared to float if you looked down. NPC reactions have improved, and they no longer disappear if you look up while on the street. They will collide with V if threatened.
Fire Mechanics – Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.0
Now, concerning fire, you will receive damage if you touch it in version 2.0, whereas in the original version, V was practically “invulnerable” when approaching something on fire. Grenades have also been enhanced and now they won’t ignite on their own if the terrain lacks a target.

Police Behavior and Rendering Improvements
The behavior of the police has been improved, with display bugs eliminated, as some officers were rendered incorrectly.
Speaking of rendering, the distance and resolution of vehicles and NPCs have been improved in version 2.0, so cars and trucks no longer appear as small cubes moving on the streets.
Conclusion
The 2.0 update is free for those who already own Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. The Phantom Liberty expansion will be released next week, and we’ve already created a special list of movies and series you should watch before playing it.
