Instagram is rolling out a major update today to its native photo editor, Stories, and Reels. Users will now have more options for fonts, visual effects, and animations for Stories and Reels.

Instagram now offers 14 completely redesigned fonts with elegant, modern, fun, and even funny styles. You can animate these fonts to make them appear as if typed on a typewriter. They can also jump or bounce on the screen. You can also apply glow, neon, flicker, and pixel effects for a retro game feel.
Still photos have also received new features. Instagram’s native editor now lets you add text and stickers to images and carousels with up to 20 photos at once, giving users more freedom to express themselves without needing other image editors.
Stickers can be created from other photos, as the editor allows you to crop them into square, circle, heart, or star shapes.
In addition to these changes, Instagram is testing a new display format to show which users are near you on a map, making it easier to find new friends. It also now lets you add a favorite song to your profile.
