According to a forum post, Claw owners should update their laptop’s BIOS and Intel Arc graphics driver to boost gaming performance. This update can increase performance by up to 43.5 percent in games like F1 ’23 and 10.3 percent in Helldivers 2.

These benchmarks might be a bit hopeful, but they could be close to reality. We’ve seen significant improvements in driver performance for Intel’s Arc GPUs in the past, and the Claw is the first portable device to have this technology. The Claw uses the Core Ultra 5-135H CPU, which is also found in a few other laptops like some of the newer Dell Precision models.

It’s possible that Intel made adjustments to its software to achieve these improvements, or the initial software on the Claw might not have been optimal.

The Steam Deck led to the introduction of various portable PCs, including ASUS’s ROG Ally and Lenovo’s Legion Go. Recently, MSI launched the Claw, which stands out from its competitors by featuring an Intel processor and GPU.

As we’ve seen, Intel’s new Arc GPUs can experience significant performance boosts with software updates. Considering this, MSI claims that the latest updates can significantly enhance your notebook’s performance.
