Acer introduced its newest laptop from the Swift series, namely the Acer Swift Edge 16 (2024). Compared to the previous generation , Acer has provided several upgrades, especially in the performance sector which now relies on the AMD Ryzen 8040 Series processor.
Acer Swift Edge 16 (2024) Specifications
According to Acer, Swift Edge 16 (2024) has optimized its performance without sacrificing portability. This laptop has a 16 inch OLED screen with WQXGA resolution, aka 3200 x 2000 pixels, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. In addition, the screen supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.

Acer has embedded an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U processor with an integrated AMD Radeon 780M GPU. Please note that this processor has a dedicated AI Engine which AMD claims is capable of providing 1.4 times faster AI performance.
With the help of this technology, Swift Edge 16 (2024) will utilize the NPU for AI-related tasks such as PurifiedVoice (reducing noise from the surroundings when making calls) and PurifiedView (blurring background and correcting position during video calls).
For memory, there is LPDDR5 RAM up to 32 GB and storage in the form of SSD PCIe 4.0 with a capacity of up to 2 TB. Meanwhile, for wireless connectivity, users are offered WiFi 7 or WiFi 6E technology.
In terms of design, the Swift Edge 16 (2024) looks slim and weighs only around 1.2 kilograms. The chassis uses magnesium-aluminum alloy material, which apart from being light is also quite tough.

For input/output matters, this laptop with a 52 Wh battery is supported by two USB-C ports with USB4 speeds of up to 40 Gbps, two USB-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a microSD slot.
Acer Swift Edge 16 Price (2024)
