Although there are still months before the iPhone 17 is officially revealed, rumors and leaks are already filling the air. It seems that designers are taking too many days off before the end of the year, flooding social media with concepts and renders of Apple’s next phones. Almost all of these concepts share one thing in common: they show designs that are highly unlikely to appear on an iPhone.

However, there is a bright side among all these exaggerated iPhone concepts with massive camera modules. Julian Magoo, an independent designer, has created a more realistic vision of one of the most likely changes for the iPhone 17 Pro. He didn’t pull something out of nowhere or try to make the render as controversial as possible. Instead, he simply shows what a smaller Dynamic Island, which several leakers have predicted, would look like.
The result, while not spectacular, gives us a glimpse of the iPhone 17 Pro’s front with better bezel optimization and a smaller Dynamic Island at the top. Of course, this is just a concept from Julian, and it doesn’t reflect exact measurements or reality. However, it does show his vision of the Dynamic Island’s size reduction, and it’s arguably the best iPhone 17 render we’ve seen so far.
It wasn’t created to spark controversy or make users believe Apple is copying the Pixel design. The goal is to reflect a likely change for the 2025 lineup without any extravagance or ideas that even the creators of other concepts know won’t happen. While we still don’t know exactly what the iPhone 17 Pro will look like, these images might be the closest glimpse of the final result for now.
The Crazy Renders of the iPhone 17 Pro
Every year, it’s the same story. Just months before launch, wild renders and concepts of upcoming iPhones begin to surface. Each year, a new slogan is used, and this time, it’s all about a Pixel-inspired aesthetic. Over the past two weeks, designers have been creating renderings of what they think the iPhone 17 Pro could look like. Here are a couple of examples.
Spoiler: This Isn’t Going to Happen. The designers themselves know this, but retweets and social media reactions are often more important than showing the true reality of what the iPhone 17 Pro will likely be.
At Thetechbasic, we don’t know how Apple will design the next iPhone, but we can tell you that for several years, we’ve watched the same cycle of rumors and outlandish renders, which usually disappear once the real leaks start to surface.
So, if you’re going to believe anything at this point — with nine months left until Apple announces the iPhone 17 — it’s the first concept we shared. The Dynamic Island hasn’t changed since the iPhone 14 Pro, so it’s plausible that Apple is preparing a minor adjustment for 2025.
