Motorola has been focusing on its Edge and Razr series to compete with its main rivals. While the new models have been making headlines, many are wondering what plans the company has for one of its most popular series. The good news for fans of the entry-level Moto G range is that the design of the next Moto G, set to launch in 2025, has been leaked.

A report from 91mobiles has revealed details about the next Motorola device. Following the usual release pattern, one of the first models to debut next year will be the Moto G. The 2025 edition of this popular phone will come with a significant change compared to the 2024 version.
According to the image leaked by Onleaks, Motorola has decided to add a third camera on the back of the Moto G 2025, making it resemble the Motorola Edge 50. This change is noticeable, especially since the current model has a vertical dual-camera setup. It seems the company may be aiming to reduce costs by using the same chassis design as its more expensive model.
However, before getting too excited about the addition of a third camera, it’s important to note that Motorola likely won’t include a telephoto or ultra-wide-angle lens (like those in the Edge series). The Moto G series is designed as a bridge between entry-level and mid-range models, so the third camera could be a 2MP depth sensor. Still, there’s a chance the company could surprise us with a new sensor in this model.
The Moto G 2025 will share similarities with this year’s version.
The renders of the Moto G 2025, which come from CAD files provided to accessory manufacturers, have leaked. Based on these images, the chassis design will closely resemble the 2024 model, featuring curved edges for a better grip and a 6.6-inch display with noticeable bezels at the top and bottom.
True to its tradition, the Moto G 2025 is expected to include a 3.5mm headphone jack. Other features will include two volume buttons and a power button on the right edge, along with a SIM card tray on the opposite side. The back will have a flat design that smoothly transitions into the camera module for a sleek look.
Specifications for the Moto G 2025 are currently unknown, but we can expect an updated version of the Snapdragon chip, new RAM and internal storage options, and the long-awaited support for Android 15. The Motorola Moto G 2025 is set to be unveiled in the first quarter of next year, with the official launch expected shortly after the announcement.
