Update WhatsApp Now: A New Button You’ve Been Waiting For Years!

The latest WhatsApp update has introduced a simple yet interesting feature that many users have been waiting for. It’s a new button found at the bottom of the screen, which has been slightly updated compared to the current version. The change is subtle, and it’s easy to miss at first, but when it comes to functionality, it has completely changed. Currently, the feature is in beta, but it should only be a few days before it’s available for you to test on your account.

Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

So, where is this new button? It’s located in the text bar, next to the attach icon. As mentioned, the change is small but noticeable. WhatsApp has replaced the camera icon with a new one that looks like a gallery. And what happens when you press it? Instead of taking you directly to the photo interface, it now opens your device’s gallery.

That’s right—after years of requests, WhatsApp has finally added a button that takes you directly to the gallery with just one click, allowing you to easily select images or videos. There’s no longer a need to make multiple clicks or navigate through different parts of the interface. The new button streamlines the process and saves you a lot of time.

The button to access the photo or video interface is now located within the attachments window, where you can still access the gallery. Additionally, this new icon not only lets you go directly to select photos and videos, but it also allows you to quickly record video messages in a way similar to voice notes. All you need to do is press and hold the button to start recording.

The new WhatsApp button is coming, but not today.

This information comes directly from WhatsApp’s beta, so it’s not a leak or a rumor. For now, we just have to wait. After the necessary tests, it’s expected that this update will roll out to all Android phones worldwide.

At the moment, it seems that this feature is exclusive to WhatsApp for Android. If you have an iPhone and are hoping for this new button, there’s no confirmation yet that it will be available. However, if we had to make a guess, we at Hipertextual would say it’s likely to arrive soon.
