The Zero 40 is the more affordable option for those who don’t need 5G. It comes with a 6.74-inch curved AMOLED screen, Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,300 nits. Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5 technology protects the glass and helps prevent scratches.

In the camera department, the Zero 40 features a main camera with a 108 MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 sensor that supports optical image stabilization (OIS). It also includes an ultrawide lens with a 50 MP sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. The camera setup can record videos in up to 2K at 30 FPS. On the front, there is a 50 MP JN1 sensor.

For performance, the Zero 40 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100, a processor built with TSMC’s 6-nanometer technology. It includes an 8-core CPU that clocks up to 2.2 GHz and an Arm Mali G57 GPU. The device pairs with 8 GB of RAM and offers storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB.

The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and supports 45 W charging via USB-C. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint reader, support for Wi-Fi 5, and a “GoPro mode” that allows the smartphone to act as a viewfinder and control center for compatible GoPro cameras.

The phone will launch with XOS 14.5, based on Android 14. The manufacturer promises two operating system updates, up to Android 16, and three years of security patches for the Infinix Zero 40.

Those looking for a mid-range phone with enhanced specifications may be interested in the Zero 40 5G. It features the same 6.74-inch curved AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and peak brightness of 1,300 nits, but its refresh rate is upgraded to 144 Hz. The glass is also protected with Gorilla Glass.

The Zero 40 5G shares the same rear camera system as the 4G version but stands out with its ability to record videos in up to 4K at 60 FPS using the main 50 MP sensor.

This capability is due to the smartphone’s more powerful chipset. It features the MediaTek Dimensity 8200, manufactured using advanced 4-nanometer lithography, and is paired with 12 GB of RAM and up to 12 GB of storage. This platform supports 5G, providing better mobile network performance.
