With all the excitement about the Spiritborn, the fifth season of Diablo 4 has almost been overlooked. The developers will soon present what you can expect in Season 5 during a livestream.
In the past few days, everything in Diablo 4 has focused on the introduction of the Spiritborn. However, you will have to wait until October 8th to play this new class in Vessel of Hatred. Fortunately, the fifth season will fill the gap until October.

Season 5 of Diablo 4 is expected to start on August 6, 2024, and will introduce new features like mythical uniques and hell hordes. The developers have already announced when the livestream for Season 5 will be released.

On August 1, 2024, shortly before the start of the season, the Diablo 4 developers will present the contents of Season 5 in a livestream. Diablo’s community manager, Adam Fletcher, announced this on Twitter. By then, there may also be official patch notes, which we have been missing so far.
Season 5 of Diablo 4 will not last the usual three months but will be shortened. The reason for this is the first expansion, Vessel of Hatred, which will be released on October 8th. Therefore, Season 5 will only last about two months but should still offer as much content as previous seasons.
In addition to the Rogue-Lite event “Helltides” and updates for itemization, there will be updates for treasure goblins, weapons, hardening recipes, and many class adjustments.
The developers also plan to bring over 50 new uniques into the game. These unique items are intended to provide fresh builds and more variety in the endgame of Diablo 4.
The Diablo 4 developers also promise some quality-of-life updates for Season 5. We will find out what these updates are in the livestream or through the patch notes, which should appear in the coming days.
