The Spiritborn is the new class in the ARPG Diablo 4 that comes into play with the expansion Vessel of Hatred. The sixth class in the game joins the Barbarian, Hunter, Necromancer, Druid, and Wizard. As a kind of druid, the Spiritborn enters the spirit realm and draws powers from four primalists: Eagle, Jaguar, Centipede, and Gorilla. This grants him four different fighting styles, each modified by these primalists.
The Spiritborn also brings two new class-specific weapons into the game: the Glaive and the Quarterstaff. Below, we will show you what is special about the Spiritborn’s two new weapons and what weapon-specific bonuses they bring.
Glaives and Staffs of the Spiritborn
The Glaive is a two-handed staff with blades on both ends, making it similar to a polearm.
In Diablo 4, each weapon type has its own bonus. Glaives increase damage against elite enemies by a percentage.
The Quarterstaff is also a two-handed weapon. It is a shortened staff that reduces a percentage of blocked damage and increases block chance by a certain percentage. This makes the Quarterstaff suitable for defensive playstyles of the Spiritborn.

It is currently unknown whether other classes will be able to use the new weapons and benefit from the weapon bonuses (block chance and increased damage against elite enemies). How do you like the Spiritborn’s new weapons? Will you be playing Vessel of Hatred in the upcoming Diablo 4 expansion? Vessel of Hatred is scheduled to be released on October 8, 2024.
