Google is bringing back the traditional division of its search results into different pages, reports the website Search Engine Land. In recent years, the internet company had switched to continuous scrolling, where the page automatically loads additional search results as you scroll down.

Google has already changed the desktop search. For example, if you search for a term on www.google.com the old division into several pages now appears again at the bottom.
According to information from Search Engine Land, the company plans to switch over to mobile search on smartphones next month.
Faster Results
The reason for the change is that the search engine can now deliver its results more quickly instead of automatically loading data that users have not requested. It was also found that automatically loading more results did not significantly increase satisfaction with Google search.
According to Search Engine Land, Google first launched continuous scrolling for mobile websites in October 2021. Desktop search followed in December 2022. This experiment has now ended after only a year and a half.
