Bungie announced Destiny 2: Into the Light, a two-month content update set to launch on April 9, 2024. The update gears up the game for its forthcoming year-long expansion, The Final Shape, alongside introducing a thrilling ghost-hunting collaboration.

Bungie, the development studio behind Destiny 2, revealed its plans for Destiny 2: Into the Light, an extensive content update aimed at preparing the game for its upcoming expansion, The Final Shape. Destiny 2: Into the Light promises to bring new features, rewards, and enhancements to the Destiny 2 universe.

Bungie invites players to join them on a series of live streams on March 19th, March 26th, and April 2nd to delve deeper into the specifics of the update including content, features and rewards. These Live streams are offering players the opportunity to engage directly with developers and earn Twitch Drops by linking their accounts. Detailed instructions on how to link accounts can be found on the Bungie blog, This Week in Destiny.

Collaboration with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

Starting March 19th, Destiny 2 enthusiasts can partake in an exciting collaboration with Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Through this partnership, players can acquire exclusive Ghostbusters fire station accessories from the Eververse Store. Among the highlights are an Exotic Slimer Spirit Shell, a Garraka-inspired Exotic Sparrow, and an Exotic Ecto-1 Ship. As an added bonus, purchasers of these items will receive a real Bungie Rewards Slimer Ghost Shell paper mask to download, enhancing their gaming experience with a touch of the supernatural.

Upcoming Events and Final Shape Launch

Destiny 2 The Final Shape

Following the conclusion of Destiny 2: Into the Light, the game will culminate in its final shape on June 4th, 2024. This ultimate showdown pits Guardians against the formidable Witness in what promises to be the game’s most epic battle yet. PlayStation Plus subscribers have until April 1st, 2024, to prepare for this monumental clash and unlock free access to The Witch Queen expansion. Furthermore, the Guardian Games – All Stars event is currently underway until March 26th, 2024. Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks are competing fiercely in various challenges, with all participants enjoying the new skimboard transport and its exhilarating tricks.
