The longstanding partnership between Fossil and Wear OS has come to an end, with the announcement of discontinuation of smartwatches utilizing Google’s wearable platform.

Since the launch of the Fossil Gen 6 platform in 2021, Fossil has not introduced any new Wear OS watches. Even the Gen 6 Wellness Edition was a limited upgrade, offering few innovations. The absence of information about Fossil Gen 7 over the past two years further suggested the company’s potential departure from the smartwatch market.
