Sonos Set to Revolutionize Home Entertainment with Premium TV Streaming Device

This week has brought a glimpse into the future products of the company Sonos, and in addition to additional wireless headphones, the brand plans to enter the segment of TV streaming devices.

This market may not be overly saturated, but it is dominated either by the relatively expensive Apple TV device or the much cheaper Amazon Fire. Most likely, Sonos is targeting the premium segment, aiming to compete with Apple’s product. The specific name of the device is not yet known, but the project codename is Pinewood. The price of the TV streaming device could range from $150 to $200.

For now, it is known that Sonos’ TV streaming device will run on the Android operating system, and one of the special features could be a custom-designed user interface. Similarly, this device would support Sonos voice control and collaborate with other smart assistants. Of course, none of this is unique, and it is clear that the company will have to think about the aspects that would attract buyers.

One of the hooks could be the management of other Sonos devices to create the best sound. Sonos already offers speakers for equipping a home theater, and this device would allow easy control of them without using a phone. Similarly, Sonos has already started discussions with streaming services, trying to find interesting features that could attract a large enough customer base.
