In August, a class-action lawsuit accused Roblox of enabling illegal child gambling. Now, a fresh lawsuit has been filed against the gaming platform. Families claim significant financial losses after they assured them the platform was safe for kids.
A complaint recently lodged in San Diego Superior Court accused Roblox False Advertising Law, Consumer Legal Remedies Act, and State Consumer Protection Acts. The complaint also accuses the game of intentional and negligent misrepresentation, unjust enrichment, violations of California’s Unfair Competition Law. (Source: PC MAG)

Recent SEC filings from February 2022 revealed that 60% of Roblox users are under 16, with 23% aged between 9-12 and 22% under 9 years old.
