Capcom provided new data related to the commercial performance of their games, stating that for the six-month period ending on September 30, 2023, sales and profits grew primarily due to the continued favorable performance of their digital content-related businesses. The remake of Resident Evil 4 sold an additional 1.66 million copies in the period, totaling 5.45 million since its release in March. With this, the Resident Evil franchise has surpassed the 150 million copies sold mark.

Street Fighter 6 has sold over 2.47 million copies since its release in June and was Capcom’s best-selling game in the last six months. The franchise now stands at 52 million units sold.

The new IP, Exoprimal, which debuted in July and is available for PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Game Pass, sold less than 940 thousand copies.

Other data includes the Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Dragon’s Dogma series, which have now sold respectively 41 million, 30 million, and 7.9 million.

Total game sales during the semester reported by Capcom reached 22.6 million units, up from 21.3 million the previous year. The company stated that digital sales of their games were particularly strong.

During the six-month period ending on September 30 of this year, Capcom stated that net sales increased by 52.7% compared to 2022, operational profit increased by 54.5%, ordinary profit jumped by 57.3%, and net profit surged by 56.7%.

With this, Capcom stated that they are heading towards their 11th consecutive year of operational profit growth.
