In addition to gaining a series of improvements to its overall interface, Gmail is also receiving a more complete emoji catalog in its web version.
This news was revealed by some users this week, and now it’s possible to find nine categories of emojis, including a “recently used” tab.
In addition to receiving all the emojis available in other Google products, Gmail now allows the user to “set the skin tone of the emoji and gender preferences,” similar to what happens on Android.
Accessing the new emoji selector is very easy: just click on the icon at the bottom bar of an email and choose the desired option.
An important detail is that the new interface features a fixed search bar at the top to facilitate the search for a specific emoji option.
For now, this new emoji selector is being distributed slowly and gradually through the server. So, if you don’t find the update now, the only option is to wait.
It’s worth mentioning that recently the service started receiving the option to react to an email with emojis.
