Dell has officially released the Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme. This device is a 10-inch tablet running the most robust and lightweight Windows operating system from Dell.
Specifications of the Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme
The Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme is the successor to the Latitude 7230 Rugged Extreme tablet. The main difference lies in the screen size, with the Latitude 7230 sporting a 12-inch panel, while the Latitude 7030 features a 10.1-inch screen.
With the smaller screen size, it weighs in at just about 997 grams. Its toughness remains the same. This tablet comes with a rugged body design meeting the MIL-STD 810 military standard.
The robust body can withstand drops from heights of 1.2 meters and can endure temperatures as low as -28 degrees Celsius. It has received an IP65 certification, which means it is dust, dirt, and water-resistant, making it suitable for all weather conditions, even in extreme environments.
The touchscreen panel on the Latitude 7030 supports a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a 16:10 aspect ratio. Its screen brightness reaches 1000 nits, making it ideal for outdoor use in bright lighting conditions.
Under the hood, this Windows 11 tablet is powered by a choice of processors up to the Intel Core i7-1260U, with 32GB of RAM and available SSD storage options with a capacity of up to 2TB.
Additional features include GPS module support, optional 5G connectivity, and various accessories that can be chosen according to individual needs. Available accessories include a rigid handle and stylus, a detachable keyboard, and a 360-degree rotatable hand strap.
Various modern security features are also available on this tablet, including support for the TPM 2.0 chip, an infrared camera for Windows Hello, a fingerprint sensor, and a webcam cover for privacy protection.
Price of the Dell Latitude 7030 Rugged Extreme
As for the price, although it has been announced, there is no further information regarding its market price. This tablet is expected to be available on the market by the end of 2024.
