Specifications of Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2

On its official website, it is explained that the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is equipped with Kryo CPUs, with speeds of up to 2.4 GHz for performance cores and up to 1.95 GHz for power-efficient cores.

It’s not specified which Adreno series GPU is embedded, but it certainly supports OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.3, and OpenCL 2.0 FP. Additionally, this GPU also supports Full HD+ displays with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz.

In terms of connectivity, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 uses the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System with download speeds of up to 2.9Gbps. This modem has adopted PowerSave 2.0 for power efficiency.

Furthermore, it features Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 with WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2. It’s a slight step back as Qualcomm had previously used FastConnect 6900 for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 series.

In terms of imaging capabilities, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is equipped with a Spectra ISP that is compatible with single cameras with a 200 MP sensor. This ISP can also record videos at resolutions up to 4K at 30fps. For other features, this chipset comes with LPDDR5 memory at 3200 MHz and Quick Charge 4+ support for fast charging.

Availability

Unfortunately, there is no information available yet on when the first smartphone with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 will be launched. Nevertheless, it is intriguing to anticipate the performance it will offer.
