On June 7, WhatsApp Beta Info announced rolling out a feature to send HD photos on iOS and Android beta. After weeks of waiting WhatsApp HD Photos and Videos support is finally available. However, the default setting remains standard quality to ensure speed and reliability when sharing photos. In case of a weak internet connection, HD photos will be initially received in standard quality, but the user can choose to load them in HD quality optionally. It has now been announced that they have begun distributing the ability to send HD videos as well.
How to send WhatsApp HD Photos and Videos
After users have selected a photo or video from their gallery to send, they should see a button labelled “HD” at the top of the screen (to the left of the cropping tool) (see our screenshot). Once they select this, a menu will appear where they can choose between “Standard Quality” or “HD Quality”.
