On the night of Wednesday, September 6th, Warner Bros Games announced that actress Megan Fox will have her voice and image serve as the basis for the visual representation of the playable character Nitara in the game Mortal Kombat 1. To share this news, the publisher even released a new official trailer, which showcases scenes of the artist at her dubbing work, along with her statements about bringing the vampire heroine of the game to life. According to Megan Fox, the Mortal Kombat franchise was a part of her childhood, and therefore, she feels honored to be a part of the new game. The actress also ranks the game series as one of the greatest legacies in the history of the gaming industry.

“I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and can’t believe I’m providing the voice for a character in the new game. It’s an honor to be a part of one of the greatest legacies in video game history.” (Megan Fox)

Nitara: The Vampire Heroine

Nitara is a vampire heroine originating from the dark and desolate realm of Vaeternus. She fights with the primary objective of protecting her vampire race, employing aerial abilities, sharp claws, and fangs against her adversaries.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to be released on September 19, 2023. The title, developed by NetherRealm Studios, will be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC – via Steam and Epic Games Store.
