AGM Flip will be the first exceptionally durable foldable smartphone. Very soon, the Chinese market will present the world’s first exceptionally durable foldable smartphone, AGM Flip, even though phones of this design are themselves easily susceptible to damage.

A Glimpse into AGM Flip

The expected AGM Flip phone will be announced on August 24th. If everything goes as planned, this will be the first tough foldable phone. The phone will be tough in three ways: it won’t break easily if dropped, it can handle being in the water, and it will keep out dust, which helps protect the screen. We don’t know all the details about the phone yet, but we might learn more as the launch date gets closer.

Based on its name, it can be assumed that the smartphone’s form will resemble a clamshell, meaning it can be opened from bottom to top, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Flip, Motorola Razr, and Oppo Find N2 Flip models. For now, precise technical information is not known, but from the promotional images, it can be seen that the AGM Flip screen could have straight edges without curves, but the back may receive a slightly rounded cover. It is possible that the rugged casing will also be concealed there. It is also rumored that the AGM Flip will have a 3.5mm headphone jack. However, one thing is clear, foldable phones cannot be very durable due to their very design, so it will be interesting to see what solutions AGM will employ. Dust entering the hinge and between the screens is the biggest threat to these phones. Initially, it will be announced in the Chinese market, but global availability will be known later.”
